Position these in from edges. There will be no twisting or warping to worry about. Suggest at least 25mm/30mm from edges. See below regarding angle of pilot holes |  |
 | Fixing at centre of Head to ensure no bowing will impede door clearance.
Drill pilot holes at a slight angle to avoid the possibility of splitting the legs. Only use parallel shank screws. Screws such as SPAX-S which are self drilling can be used, although a pilot hole through the head will ease the final tightening. |
Normal screws & plugs or nails to fix to walls/blocks. It is best to pre-drill pilot holes first. Pack and fix as standard practice. | |
